Vumii Enhances EyeSec Thermal Camera Product Line

Vumii, a developer and manufacturer of high-quality, field-proven, zero-light surveillance camera technology, recently enhanced its EyeSec family of uncooled thermal cameras with new features and expanded options. The EyeSec series now includes more lens and field of view options, including true thermal continuous optical zoom, IP video encoding, and enhanced image contrast.The EyeSec family now includes advanced image processing to provide superior quality and enhanced contrast video images that are ideal for third party video motion detection (VMD) analytics. This advanced degree of image processing helps reduce false alarms and increase the probability of target detection.

Vumii's EyeSec family of high performance uncooled thermal imagers now stretches from cost effective, focus-free, athermalized lens models offering economical fixed wide fields of view to the most advanced 640x480 17 micron cameras on motorized pan-tilts with continuous optical zoom 15-100mm lens. The latter model is capable of human threat detection at up to 2,800 meters and vehicle detection at up to 6,800 meters. Users of this model can optically zoom from 40 deg down to 6.2 deg while utilizing focus-on--demand to generate uniquely crisp thermal video. These EyeSec models excel at detecting threats and allowing security system operators to quickly zoom in on a scene, determine intent, and respond immediately.

Vumii also announces IP versions for the EyeSec series. Customers can now use both analog and IP video output, standard DC power or PoE (Power over Ethernet), and communicate with cameras using industry standard communication protocols over IP. By easily integrating EyeSec cameras into existing IP networks, customers can rapidly install high quality 24/7 thermal monitoring for site security, while reducing infrastructure cost.
